How Did Quickscope come about?

What you have seen on this website, is news and articles made and created by people who work and are apart of Counter Strike Source UK scene, this site is specifically dedicated to helping out the lower end of the UK Counter Strike Source Scene, and promoting all different communities, organisations and events that go on over the years. Quickscope was an idea by Davros & Gumpster, who thought of the idea whilst being at the iSeries in November 2009 (i38), they saw an oppurtunity in the market to help out the lower end of the Counter Strike Source scene, where many communities who have become the “unsung heroes” of the scene in general rarely get an oppurtunity of fame, nor spotlight on them.

What does Quickscope aim to do?

Over the coming year, we hope to cover events in the majority of UK Leagues & ladders, we also hope to cover the iSeries in great detail focusing in particular on the Intermediate & Lower brackets at that LAN, and help promote any communities in the Counter Strike Source scene. Of course one day we would like to branch out into other games, however we feel starting small, and making sure the basics are covered would be the best way of doing this.

I have news on my community/organisation/event and we would like some coverage, how do we go about this?

Great, You have news you would like to share with the community, or you are an event organiser/league admin and would like to promote your newest event through our news website, then there is two things you should do 1) Write a small paragraph about your event and any additional info you may want to include, also including the event website link, and 2) send this in an email to news@quickscope.co.uk

Recommended Websites

On the page named “Websites” there is a list of any websites that you would wish Quickscope to promote, all you need to do is promote Quickscope on your own website, and then inform us via sending a link to your website in an email to davros@coltkillaz.co.uk and he will then add your website to our list. There is also a list of league/ladder & events on that page, if you are a part of one that is not in the list then please do tell us via that email.

Do you have feedback on Quickscope?

If you have any feedback on Quickscope, whether it is good or bad then you can leave an email with gumpster@pro-css.com and any feedback will be answered as soon as possible. Any suggestions you may have can also be placed through to that email, and if you do have any problems with the website then contact davros@coltkillaz.co.uk

Want to become a writer at Quickscope?

So you think you have what it takes to write some news? Well do not fear, you do not need any experience in writing, all you need is a good standard of english, a good grip on grammar, and a fairly good understanding of what you are writing about, whether you can commit to once a week, once a day, or once a month, we need more writers to help make this site a success. You can do this in a few different ways, you can send an email to gumpster@pro-css.com with things we would like to know about you (your age, name, background, and any experience you may or may not have, also why you think you can be a news writer at Quickscope, and why you think we should have you) or you could be more creative in your approach, maybe you have a webcam, and you feel you can news read and/or talk about yourself, be creative, let lose that imagination, and upload us a short 2 – 3 min YouTube video, read a piece of news off Quickscope, and maybe explain about yourself and why you should join the team, then send the link through to the email address provided above. So go on, what are you waiting for?
