Another CS:S update rolls out, and another bug that was introduced in the previous update, is now erradicated. I think at this rate I will be losing the plot on what to say in the next 100 updates. Anyway along with this small update, it has introduced another bug.
So another update, and this time it is a small one. On Friday we announced that there was another major update which fixed the speed of firing AK47’s & M4’s to what we had previously known on 100Tick Servers. Along with that update, a bug was introduced, that when you tapped to fire once, it would fire, if you tapped again, it would fire twice. Well Hidden Path announced earlier today that they have once again updated the game to erradicate the bug they had accidently placed in on Friday.
Steam Changelog Notes had this to say:
Counter-Strike: Source
- Fixed new weapon firing integration causing some guns to over-fire on single taps
- Fixed a couple of cases where machine guns could skip slightly with enough lag
- Fixed c4 explosion pre-caching
- Added precise audio timing fixes for client-side prediction
- Increased the tolerance for skip detection in client side audio to prevent sound dropping out due to client clock drift
- Completed work on clan tag strings validation
However as with any update, they seem to introduce more bugs “accidently” into the game to make it slightly unstable, so do be careful when playing CS:S that you don’t hear wrong sounds. That is right a new bug, and this time to do with gun sounds, can Hidden Path get anything right when they do update?

We shall await further updates from Hidden Path, and hopefully they will start testing said updates before majorly releasing them!
